A: Girls, I'm having a white leather jacket made for the wedding… G: Give it to us so we can paint iiiittt!!! A: I've already ordered it, I just didn't get to actually go there yet. A: This was my plan for my evening outfit, but it makes sense, we've got to paint something on it! A: Would this be printed or painted? A: Everyone knows that the wedding invites were really hard to make… And we've actually started telling them how our initial idea was so different to what it ended up being. A: We wanted to have a phosphorescent oil in between two plexiglass. G: The problem was that we wanted red phosphorescent…
That's why we couldn't do it. A: Yes, red or pink, not the usual green. Our wedding invites quest is still going strong… Collected all the invites from Dani @ArtPoint in cluj, same place where we make our INFSD boxes… I've got here 80 red carnations that I'm taking home for our wedding invites. The invites are important for every wedding, as they represent who you are as a bride or groom. So it's best to have some super cool ones to say something about you. Hence, we were thinking what could we do to represent who are and in line with our wedding design choices. So we ended up with these black boxes… we kept our wedding colour palette – black, gold, red and a little bit of white. Welcome to DaniArt! Let's see the boxes for the invites. What's this red here? We initially started with our INFSD boxes in mind… a pretty big box 25×25. We used it as reference as they make our INFSD boxes as well. This is the second option for the wedding invites… we're adding a plexiglass on top of the carnations, like so…
The plexiglass will be our invitation basically as it will have everything written on. The first thing Raul said was that the box was way too big, and he was right. The box is smaller now. I've used as reference a box from YSL that I had from a fragrance – 16×16 It's true, this version is much better, and it looks absolutely beautiful. I didn't want my invitations to be in an envelope especially because I wanted them to have an emotion attached to them when received and opened. We didn't know how to achieve this by having a simple invitation in an envelope. This is how the invite actually looks like… It's made out of plexiglass… We used a gothic font for our names and Bebas Neue a font that I use often. This is how the box looks like when it comes from Dani Art. One of the main things that we wanted were the red carnations Raul came up with the solution for it – and that was to use black nails with a hot glue gun.
It was a challenge to find the black glue for the hot glue gun. You can still see it a bit underneath the nails… We're adding quite a bit of glue at the end of the nails and then just put them in place… Of course I [ __ ] up the first invites as I didn't twist the flowers in properly… It's all good though, we're only humans and we keep learning new things every day. I didn't do this one properly either… Oh well… And this is how we set up the flowers to look like they're floating, which is what I wanted. Again, the carnation is the main flower for our wedding and the red colour will be found everywhere as well. It's a shame not many women pick carnations as flowers for their wedding… not necessarily red ones though. We've got to stop being superstitious. I personally think that carnations look better than roses. Especially when you see them in a nice arrangement. We're actually struggling to find red, fresh carnations to buy in bulk.
I called Catalina from 'La vie en rose' the other day, saying that I need 80 carnations… She said that I was the only person to request them, nobody else gets them. This is how our final invite for our wedding looks like. We hope that you like it too. We like it a lot as it represents us both. I've added the #ARTcastleWEDDING on the invite as well. I hope people will be using it. Until now, I'm the only one who has used it. We're going to the castle as we need to go over those details together with Geta and David.

We have really nice memories there. Ultimately, it was the only place I wanted to get married at. None of the other options worked out… One of the options was to go to the sea side, but that would've been a bit too crazy! So, we settled on the castle. Going to Lulu's with Carmen. Can't wait to see the first sketches for one of my dresses. This is going to be my second dress on the day, as I will be wearing it at night.
For now I'm having two dresses, but we'll see if I'll need a third one as well. I don't necessarily think that you need to have multiple dresses at your wedding, but I just couldn't decide on the style I wanted. Hence, I decided to have two dresses. Of course, Andra from Lulu is a close friend of ours, we've been working with her for a while now. I trust them with all my heart, and today we'll be starting the first sketches.
Coming and trying out the dresses is also a good idea if you don't know what you want… These dresses can be adjusted as well. I personally knew exactly what I want from each dress, so I chose to make a mood-board instead and go from there. I've let them to get inspired by these pictures and come up with some designs. At the end of day, they're the designers and know better what to do. I like to let people do their job.

G: This will create nice hips and then goes nicely down the leg… This design can be recreated on the arms…We can add some stars or something… These two will be a bit more transparent, here will be lines… Here we'll have stars again… L: I'd actually like it to have stars… A: You can do whatever you want with it… A: I'd like it to have a train, but I don't want everyone to keep stepping on it. Something that makes me happy again, is that we're respecting the wedding's colour palette… The team from Prosecco Van have offered to dye the van in black, initially being a mint green. The mint green colour would've been so out of place! However, black – it will look awesome! G: I was thinking – how is this possible? A: The time is 7:15pm and we're still "working"… A: We came to check the prosecco… A: It's all good, we've got the good energy with us! G: Obviously! A: Buna! She organised a few of my birthdays and every time everything was perfect! I've given her a theme, a moodboard with the colours and style and she made it happen. Of course, for a wedding it's not that easy, I've got to be involved a bit more, but I trust her! I know that her and her team do their best so all events end up being perfect every single time. So, I trust them! G: We want to know what you think regarding the fountain we want to have at the entrance… A: Fountain… G: It can be with water, or flowers.. whatever you like. A: As an idea, I do like it, but I'm not sure how that space at the front will be…
The guys from electric said that it's possible they'll be having all sort of machines over there… A: If that is the case…. G: Those should be on the right hand side, and you can have your isle and have the fountain there… G: The entrance is super important! It needs to be well lit. G: It needs to have as many branches and leaves as possible… to have that wild look you wanted… A: This is the castle entrance, right? G: We will have that well lit and we'll have a waterfall of flowers going down as well. A: Can we have red lights? G: Yeees… A: I wanted to ask you where do we get the light bulbs from? Will you be able to sort that out? G: Yes, we will. A: Okay, perfect then… G: The light bulbs aren't the problem, is the electric generator that we need to sort out. G: We had the idea of having a few instagram-able corners, as everyone will want pictures with you… A: Yep, including me. A: I'll take a selfie haha.
