more about diamonds make sure to subscribe to my channel and like my video! All right, so today's
video it's going to be…actually we're going to talk about wedding bands! So I know this is one
of the items that most people are kind of curious about… Like what would match well with their
engagement ring, so we're going to be featuring a 4ct Eternity Band. This is probably one of
the most popular carat weight in the larger size… That is like not too small…but doesn't get
ridiculously big, when it gets like…5ct…6ct…7ct For this video I'm also gonna be
breaking down the difference in the settings, okay… This particular video is gonna feature the double
gallery, low profile setting.
I'm gonna talk more detail about the setting and how it
compares to our other setting, which is a U gallery, low profile setting as well…that exposes
the diamond a little bit more on the side. So make sure you watch the video all the way
through! All right, so let's get right into it… What does it mean a double gallery vs U gallery?
So double gallery…if you go just browse online in general and look at a bunch of eternity
bands…those are what the typical settings will look like but a lot of times what you see on the
market is that version but a much thicker, bulkier version of it.
So when you wear it in between your
hands it feels very uncomfortable…especially if it's a larger carat weight. So what we…kind of part
of our design process is making sure that the band itself is low profile on the finger!
So when the client first reached out to me and said…"Okay Bonnie I want this in Lab Grown eternity band
but my wife has a very small finger… and she doesn't like when something's very
thick but she still wants the look at the larger diamonds…" So I said…"Okay, so in order
for us to do that, we can you know…obviously our craftsmanship is our #1… so we
were able to you know…design something that is very low profile…so he also mentioned to
me that she's very active…so for somebody that's you know…that's a mother or very active with their
hands…you know handling kids or just you know… like to do a lot of activities…having the wire
on the gallery is gonna help, secures the prongs a little bit better but the good side…we are also
going to be showing you the U gallery, which is also a very low profile…it shows the diamond
a lot…there is less metal going on for sure! And it shows you know…just the profile of
the diamonds more! It is a beautiful setting but for somebody that's very active…meaning like
they do a lot with their hands…it may be some, a smarter decision to go with more metal…but
if you like the very minimalistic look I think a lot of my clients, that choose the U gallery…
do love the minimal metal look, so there's pros and cons in each design…so that's kind
of something that you want to really think about…
When you buy an eternity band, whether it be
round shape or it be oval shape or emerald cut… The setting of the eternity band is so important
because that pretty much…if you get bad settings you can see a lot of gaps in between each
stones…I've heard from clients that they've had that issues or it's very thick , very tall
profile…very uncomfortable in between the hand! I have a cushion cut myself and the lowest
kind of setting…To be very honest with you my cushion cut actually started with the U gallery
setting but I am very active with my hand so… After a while, certain stones kind of move
around a bit….especially when it's a fancy cut so I decided to switch back to the double gallery!
Now with round…I think it happens less because rounds are circle…rather than the fancy shapes
of different shapes…so they sit differently in the setting itself…Also when you're thinking
about purchasing an engagement ring, how it's gonna pair with your wedding band….definitely the
biggest thing you need to watch out for is the height of the band…so if you're like…"Oh Bonnie,
I'm gonna buy you know…I get these inquiries a lot… like a very dainty setting or either 2-3ct
center stone and they want to pair it with a really big band…" And then once they kind of get the
set they're like…"Oh one is pushing against each other or hitting each other…because the eternity
band is higher and the engagement ring is lower and then basically there's a mismatch in height
and the band could be rubbing on the side of the prongs of the engagement ring…so that's something
else that you want to look out for…that you don't you kind of want to avoid or plan ahead…It's like…
Okay, if you know yourself and you're going to get a big eternity band, that's something that you
need to look out for when you're thinking about pairing up with an engagement ring…okay! I hope
this video is helpful to you! I hope you enjoyed this beautiful band…these are available in smaller
carat sizes…2ct…3ct…4ct…5ct…
