You all know that actress Athiya Shetty is the daughter of famous actor Suniel Shetty. Athiya was born in Mumbai. She had kept her relationship with crickter KL Rahul under wraps Eventhough they dated secretly for 4 years, many knew about it. Whenever people asked them about their relationship, they gave vague answers. Now in a surprise, Athiya and KL Rahul finally got married on 23rd January 2023. The wedding ceremony was held at Suniel Shetty's farmhouse in Khandala which is near Lonavala. KL Rahul stayed at the nearby Radisson Hotel. The baraat started at 2pm and reached the marriage got over by 4pm.
The newly-weds were happy and greeted everyone. There were rumours about their wedding and now finally they are married. Happy for them! KL Rahul is a native of Bengaluru. Athiya chose a subtle pink lehenga for the wedding which was designed by Anamika Khanna who said that due to the intricate design, the lehenga took 10,000 hours to make. Which means it took about 1 year 2 months to make the gorgeous lehenga. Wow! Only 100 guests were invited for the wedding in Khandala. Actors and cricketers were invited for the wedding but the guests were not allowed to take their mobiles inside the venue.
Sangeet ceremony was held on Friday in Mumbai and then they proceeded to Khandala. A cocktail party was held on Sunday night and wedding was held held the next day on Monday. There is no update about their honeymoon. No matter how much of a grand wedding it was, the Shetty family stuck to their roots! Athiya's father Suniel Shetty was dressed in traditional South Indian veshti.
After the wedding, Suniel Shetty and his son Ahan distributed sweets to the media outside the wedding venue. They looked very happy. The wedding ceremony was held with limited number of guests as the IPL is soon to start from 20th March 2023 to 28th May 2023 and Rahul will be playing in it. The couple may have a grand reception inviting 3,000 guests in Mumbai after the IPL. A hearty congratulations to the newlyweds!.
